Pastor Marc Edouard Charles

Harvest Bible Chapel Gressier

Pastor Edouard was born in Les Anglais, a town in the Province of Les Cayes which lies in the South Department of Haiti. Growing up, his parents were voodoo practitioners and Catholics, but when he was 15 and moved to Port-au-Prince to attend school, he started to seek the Lord. Though his father was unconverted, he encouraged Pastor Edouard to make the decision to give his life to Christ. Thus, while persevering, God’s Word began to change his heart. Thereafter, he decided to get baptized and become actively involved in the church. Throughout the years, he has earned a theology degree from the Theological Seminary of Haiti, and he has completed a two-year training at Kingdom Leadership Institute. He loves serving others, and he finds great joy in seeing people’s lives transformed by Christ. He has been involved in church ministry for 30 years in various roles, such as evangelism, teaching, preaching, church administration, and soul care. Since 1998, he has been dedicated to ministry full-time.

Previously, he was pastoring at Center Church. When their Leadership Board heard about all that was happening through the Harvest churches in Haiti, they contacted Pastor Abraham (Harvest Jacmel, Regional Director) about their desire to be part of the SPI Haiti family. Soon after they contacted Pastor Abraham in 2018, Pastor Edouard was enrolled in the 2019 Training Center class. Though the COVID-19 pandemic delayed the church launches, his class graduated in January 2020, and Center Church re-launched as Harvest Gressier in November of 2020.

Since launching Harvest Gressier, Pastor Edouard has been overwhelmed at all that God has done and continues to do in and through the church. He is grateful to the Lord for allowing the launch of Harvest Gressier and for sustaining the life of the congregation. Through transitioning to become part of SPI Haiti, the fellows have remained engaged and participative in all aspects.

Pastor Edouard and his wife, Marie Rolande Charles, have two children, Jean Chrysostome Israel Charles and Marclande Samuel Edouard Charles, and one niece, Tracy Borgelin.
